SURET for the aviation industry

In cooperation with Nicrometal S.A., one of the market leaders in the field of post-production waste management, SURET is carrying out a contract for one of the largest aviation plants in Poland. Below are some developing words from SURET CEO Sebastian M. Gawron.

Yes, at the beginning of this month we were entrusted with handling internal transportation, including the particularly sensitive sphere of ensuring the supply of priority components for production processes. The area of responsibility also includes logistics processes related to the management of post-production waste for specialized recycling.

The aviation industry is particularly demanding, with high standards, complex production processes and supplier chain management rules. Which, in view of these peculiarities, poses a special challenge for SURET.

The manufacturer, which belongs to a global consortium, in its relationship with sub-suppliers is guided by a Code of Conduct, which regulates in detail the procedures of cooperation, sets quality requirements, and particularly emphasizes the ESG aspect, including compliance with regulations, ensuring working conditions and environmental protection. This is a very high level of regulation, typical for a leading global aviation brand and its environment, including suppliers such as SURET. We meet all these conditions and requirements.

SURET’s partner in the contract is NICROMETAL S.A., which offers comprehensive services to companies in the field of managing waste generated during production processes. It specializes in cooperation with the aerospace, shipbuilding and defense industries. How did the cooperation come about?

Nicrometal S.A. serves companies in the field of waste management, including licensed materials subject to special recycling processes. In the case of this co-op, for example, it is valuable inconel.

NICROMETAL was looking for a partner experienced in outsourcing intrologistics for demanding manufacturers, with the resources of personnel, equipment and know-how. SURET, in addition to the above, offered to develop a new optimal model for intralogistics. The model developed by SURET’s specialists has been implemented seamlessly, as if put on the map of peri-manufacturing processes, and is proving itself.

What is the development of such a model and what benefits can it bring to the production area?

In the case of this aviation client, we first performed our own transport logistics audit, focusing on analyzing the existing layout, production handling mode and resources used. We listened to the customer’s comments and expectations. Then we developed our own design of the logistics model, where we envisioned the simplification of service routes and the reduction of personnel and machinery by their optimal, flexible use. Logical solutions are implemented quickly and easily. We were ready to go.
